The Magic Behind the Masks!
We were recently asked to design a kitchen that reflected the owners taste for eclectic art and antiques. This was to be no ordinary kitchen but one which showed off the owners stunning collection of Art Deco ornaments.
Our Designer, Eve Turner came up with a scheme for the kitchen which incorporated styles from the Deco era which incorporated mirrored surfaces, high gloss veneers and gloss lacquers – mimicking style from the thirties…but in a contemporary setting.
The owners were keen to have something that nobody else had and Eve suggested incorporating some artwork into a glass splash back. An artist from Master Products was commissioned and these unique Venetian masks, sand carved into the glass splashback are the stunning results!
We then added subtle LED lighting on both edges which picks up the engraving on the etched glass to create a focal point in the kitchen.
To continue the Thirties theme through the adjoining dining and living areas Eve also designed Deco style sideboards to complete the look.
