The kitchen challenge….
We’re very proud of our work and love nothing more than creating the perfect kitchen – that of course can come with a few challenges which requires a little creative thinking….here’s how we’ve overcome a few of our kitchen challenges.
This compact dark oak kitchen was cleverly designed to occupy a small space, but with a maximum amount of storage, worktop space and even a breakfast counter.
Here in this glossy kitchen we used light reflective curves to create the illusion of space, teamed it with designer white Corian worktops and handle-less cupboards to complete its sleek, minimalist look. The brief was for a curved kitchen with copious amounts of space with ample storage – we tried as far as possible to end any run of furniture with a curve (apart from the two tall white units). We think it gives a good flow around the space.
This large open-plan kitchen which forms part of the owners’ main day to day living space had to work with the rest of the room and yet not feel too much like a kitchen. The owners, both enthusiastic cooks, wanted a very minimal but functional kitchen with the emphasis on luxury finishes. We made the most of the ceiling height by double stacking the tall units and wall units. The bottom shelves of the wall units have an integrated lightshelf which provided much needed task lighting and doubles up as mood lighting in the evening.
