Let there be light

Lighting plays a vital role in any room.  That is especially true of the kitchen.  Being able to maximise the use of natural light in a kitchen can make a significant difference to the overall look and feel of a space.

Here’s a few tips and tricks to make the most of the natural light in your kitchen…

• If you have have a smaller kitchen with limited light, think about the use of gloss units, they are a great way to bounce light around a room.
• Consider the use of sliding/bi-folding doors like we have used in the kitchen below as they help to introduce light to all corners of the space.
• Light coloured flooring can also help brighten up rooms that do not get a great deal of natural light, making the room appear more spacious.
• The more natural light you let into your kitchen, the less you will need to rely on artificial lighting which helps to save money on energy bills.
