Keeping up with the Royals!

It was revealed this week that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently installed a second kitchen in their Kensington Palace apartment, earning the Duchess the new title  Two kitchens Kate!

Fitting two kitchens is nothing new for us here at Neil Lerner, in some cases we’ve even been asked for three!

Whilst it may seem decadent, there’s great reasoning behind having three kitchens:

• 1 main kitchen for show (often with separate milk and meat areas for kosher clients).

• 1 small backup kitchen to the ‘show’ kitchen: ideal for when you’re entertaining and is also useful to take clutter away from the main kitchen.  Often with extra dishwasher/small hob,  extra wine storage etc.

• 1 catering kitchen for kitchen  staff – these are often downstairs and fitted with a dumb waiter.

Once the Royals have that extra space for a third kitchen they know where to come!
