Full steam ahead at JW3

DENISE PHILLIPS HI RES 2It’s full steam ahead at JW3 in Finchley Road where Jewish cookery doyenne, Denise Phillips is now the resident expert on the subject of Steam Ovens.

At neillerner Kitchen Design, we are proud to the main sponsors of the Food & Drink Programme at JW3 and also to be supporting Denise Phillips in her mission to promote the art of steam cooking.  We introduced Denise to our appliance partners, Miele who trained Denise on their superb steam ovens and the rest, as they say, is history.  Steam cooking is the most nutritious and delicious way to prepare all types of food – not just fish and vegetables – and Denise is now a great advocate of this cooking method.

Denise has been using a steam oven in her home, and in her own cookery school, for over a year now so she really knows her way round this superb appliance.  She has also been trained by all the major appliance manufacturers on other brands of steam ovens, including Gaggenau, Siemens, Neff & AEG.  On her website, she also has a special section of recipes specifically developed for steam ovens and sponsored by neillerner Kitchen Design.

If you are thinking of buying a steam oven and would like to find out all about the multiple advantages of steam cookery from the expert (or would like to make the most of the steam oven you already have), then sign up now for one of Denise’s unique specialist steam cooking classes.  Simply visit the JW3 website at www.jw3.org.uk to find out the dates and times.  You can also contact Denise directly via her website for one-to-one personalised classes on steam ovens – and other appliances – in the comfort of your own home.  www.jewishcookery.com

IMG_7286 JW3 STEAM OVEN CLASS

Denise’s first steam oven class took place in the new Demonstration Kitchen at JW3 in April.  Every seat was taken as the appeal of steam cooking grows in popularity.  Our photo (right) shows Denise in full flow using a bank of Miele ovens and special mirrors to illustrate all the benefits of this superb new generation cooking technology.  The kitchen was designed, planned and fitted by neillerner Kitchen Design as part of our 3-year sponsorship of the Food & Drink Programme at JW3.

Such is the demand for steam oven tuition that we are told by the planners at JW3 that more steam oven classes are already being planned for 2017.  The next class is scheduled for the evening of Thursday 1st December 2016**.

**Please note: Remaining tickets for the next Steam oven dem are now available from the JW3 website at www.jw3.org.uk.  Don’t delay, book today!
