Family Kitchens
When designing kitchens for families we have many requests for an area where everyone can sit together, whether it be a breakfast bar where they can face each other or space for a table and chairs for dinner. Its important to have space where people can mingle .
If families have younger children we help to create well defined working areas away from where they might want to play or do homework and ensure they are away from oven and hobs. For older children who want to learn to cook we can make sure the oven is not too high and the hob not too far back, so the children can help in the cooking. If the room is big enough you could design an area just for the children to learn to cook, which could include a section of lower worktops.
